Frequent questions
Questions about Inquiry and Manufacturing
What documents are required for a request?
An existing 3D model, a sized drawing or well-lit photos on a measuring grid are best suited. An original part can also be sent in or handed over in person.
What materials can be processed?
The choice of material depends on temperature, load, flexibility, surface and environment. We match the appropriate filament or resin with you before manufacturing.
Is express printing possible?
Basically, yes. Whether express production is useful and timely is checked by telephone or by e-mail on the basis of the specific component.
How does the price come about?
Decisive are modeling effort, material, machine time, size, post-processing and quantity. You will receive a transparent offer before manufacturing.
Can an unavailable spare part be rebuilt?
Often yes. We check geometry, load and required fit. In the case of safety-critical or heavily loaded components, the suitability is evaluated particularly carefully.
What about lamps and candle holders?
Closed decorative luminaires are intended for LED light. Candle holders for open flames require a suitable non-combustible spout; the respective product description calls safe use.
How long do production and delivery take?
Most items are made after ordering. For production and shipping from Austria, production takes 2 business days after payment and receipt of all required details, plus Austrian Post standard shipping time for the destination country. Physical US orders are manufactured and shipped directly by Printie in the United States through dropshipping. Printie orders for Canada are also shipped from the United States. For these orders, the stated production and carrier transit times apply. Any different period stated on the product page or in an individual offer takes precedence; otherwise, delivery takes place within 30 days. See Shipping & delivery for country-specific estimates.
