FDM and SLA selected for the project

Depending on the design, FDM is suitable for functional components, enclosures, replacement parts, prototypes and small batches. The available FDM build volume reaches approximately 80 × 40 × 60 cm for suitable projects; larger geometries can be segmented after technical review.

SLA is considered when fine detail or a particularly smooth surface matters. Individual parts up to approximately 218.88 × 122.88 × 220 mm are possible. Process, material and finishing are selected for the intended use rather than by a universal rule.

Which input can be reviewed?

STL and 3MF files are suitable for direct printability checks. STEP or other CAD data is especially useful when geometry still needs to change. For a new design, a dimensioned sketch, photos, a sample and a clear functional description are often enough to begin.

The review considers dimensions, wall thicknesses, overhangs, fits, quantity, surface requirements and known loads. Missing information is clarified before quotation.

Process and delivery within Austria

After receiving the information, we complete a feasibility review, clarify questions and issue an individual quotation. Agreed modelling or manufacturing begins only after approval. A sample part can be arranged first for fit-critical projects.

Finished components are sent using the shipping method shown in checkout at the time of order. Collection or handover in Pöndorf is possible by appointment.

What we need for a quotation

  • File, sketch, photos or a physical sample
  • Intended use and known loads
  • Important dimensions, fits and mating parts
  • Material and surface preferences
  • Quantity and target date

Frequently asked questions

Does 3DOrder accept enquiries from all of Austria?

Yes. Technical coordination can take place digitally, samples can be posted by arrangement and finished components can be shipped.

How much does a custom 3D-printed part cost?

Pricing depends on geometry, size, material, print time, modelling effort, finishing and quantity. A project-specific quotation follows the review.

Is expedited production available?

Accelerated processing can be assessed depending on the component, material and current workload. It is only confirmed in the individual quotation.
